Commercial Leasing 101 is the name of our flagship commercial real estate class, which is authorized by real estate commissions in Texas, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia and Maryland. The course is designed to help the licensed residential real estate agent transition into the commercial world. At the same time, we offer the course to commercial clients of The Guillory Group Real Estate Firm to improve their relationships with their respective landlords. We've also taught this course for The City of Houston, The Texas Asso. of REALTORS, The Houston Asso. of REALTORS, The National Asso. of Real Estate Brokers, Houston Business Development Inc and many others.
Virtually demanded by our students who took "Commercial Leasing 101," our contracts course was designed as a logical follow-up class. In it, students will learn about the varying types of leasing contracts used in commercial lease negotiations. The course reviews both TAR forms as well as forms used by commercial leasing industry giants. Some of the forms discussed include Letters of Intent, Construction Riders, Work Letters, Full Leases and Commission Agreements. This course is perfect for the residential REALTOR making a transition into commercial leasing!

As a general rule, licensed salespersons and brokers are exceedingly cautious to not "practice law" when utilizing TAR Commercial forms. Yet, leases and other forms sometimes need to be altered and a licensee may need to "fill in the blank" or utilize the Special Provisions paragraph.
